When I saw the image below, I recalled a recent conversation with a parent:
My 14 year old boy was telling a story recently about his experience in a shop, during it he said: "...the woman was really ugly..."
I was lost for words. Perhaps this poem could help with the discussions about empathy we need to have with our children. It would also be useful in starting discussions about respect, gender equality and the power that words can have.
